CaRe In Nancy
CaRe Global Network and GREEN (Groupe de Recherche en Énergie Électrique de Nancy), Department of Electrical Engineering, Université de Lorraine, Nancy, France, organized the technical seminar of the international research lab partnership EE-TFRC (2024 Thai-French Seminar) at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Électricité et de Mécanique (ENSEM). The seminar was opened by Prof. Noureddine Takorabet, Director of the GREEN Lab.
The scientific seminar for the French and Thai teams was held in the Émile Gallé hall at Université de Lorraine on the third day of the delegation's visit. Both teams presented their latest research findings and advancements in joint projects. Many thanks to all the presenters and colleagues who attended the seminar.
The third day concluded with a dinner organized by Mrs. Nathalie Fick, the Director of International and European Relations at UL. We would like to express our gratitude to Mrs Fick for her invitation and for organizing such a wonderful dinner.
On November 7, 2023, the CaRe Network team, led by Prof. Dr. Poom Kuman, Prof. Dr. Phatiphat Thounthong, and Prof. Dr. Surin Khomfoi, visited Université de Lorraine as part of the Global Leader Project by PMU-B. They met with Prof. Dr. Karl Tombre and researchers from the GREEN Laboratory and LEMTA to explore opportunities for future collaboration in clean energy and electrical engineering innovation.
On November 8, 2023, the delegation gave presentations at the Centre de Recherche en Automatique de Nancy (CRAN) and the Laboratoire Lorrain de Recherche en Informatique et ses Applications (LORIA). They shared ongoing research on nonlinear systems, optimization, and electric vehicle development, aiming to strengthen international research networks between Thai and French institutions.


Between July 8 – 18, 2023, Dr. Parin Chaipunya, a Level 3 member of the CaRe Network, visited Université de Perpignan and École de Ponts ParisTech in France. During his visit, he held discussions with Prof. Didier Aussel, Prof. Ludovic Montastruc, and other researchers to foster Franco–Thai collaboration. The visit also served as a preliminary step toward organizing the CIMPA School in Thailand in 2026.
In addition, the meetings at École de Ponts ParisTech featured productive discussions with Prof. Michel De Lara and Prof. Jean–Philippe Chancelier. The conversations focused on future joint research directions, particularly on the modeling and optimization of power systems, laying a strong foundation for long-term academic cooperation between the two countries.
