From December 25, 2024, to January 5, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wiyada Kumam visited the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano in Italy, where she engaged in academic discussions with Prof. Dr. Antonio Liotta, a leading expert in engineering and data science. Their conversations focused on the latest developments in optimization algorithms, data science, and the use of mathematics in machine learning.
This visit served as a valuable opportunity to deepen academic collaboration between the two institutions. Plans were made to initiate joint research projects, organize academic workshops, and build long-term research connections, particularly through partnerships with ICTP in Trieste.
This collaboration reflects the CaRe Network’s commitment to expanding international research partnerships, exchanging innovative ideas, and advancing excellence in the fields of applied mathematics and intelligent technologies. 🌍🔬🤝

On October 24–25, 2023, members of the CaRe Network Global Researcher Program (L1, L2, and L4) visited the Applied Ecology and System Dynamics Lab at the University of Naples Federico II in Naples, Italy. The visit, part of the Global Leadership Project supported by PMU-B, aimed to promote collaboration in clean energy technology and carbon reduction through academic exchange and research development.
Later, on October 26, 2023, the delegation continued their academic engagement by visiting the Institute for High Performance Computing and Networking at the National Research Council (CNR) in Palermo, Italy. Led by Prof. Dr. Phatiphat Thounthong, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wiyada Kumam and Dr. Burin Yodwong, the team, discussed future cooperation opportunities in high-performance computing and advanced research infrastructure, aiming to strengthen scientific collaboration between Thailand and Italy.
